Advances in Business Research (ABR) Symposium is slated to take place Nov. 11-12, 2019, on the UAFS campus. The theme of this symposium is “Contemporary Issues of Business Research” and is sponsored by the UAFS College of Business.
Dr. Mohamed Zainuba, College of Business faculty member and coordinator for the project, stated that the symposium “is a wonderful opportunity for academic and non-academic professionals and students to meet together to hear presentations on current research in business and to discuss these with other participants.”
The program “provides a forum for exchanging ideas about, identifying emerging trends in, learning new approaches to, and examining issues about the various disciplines of business administration, entrepreneurship, and leadership,” according to event documents.
Dr. Ashok Subramanian, dean of the College of Business, stated that the symposium was “one of the initiatives developed by the college to provide our stakeholders an opportunity to participate in the conversation about emerging business ideas and research.”
The dean noted that the symposium was a result of a 2018 partnership between Tarleton State University College of Business Administration, a member institution in the Texas A&M University system, and the UAFS College of Business. In addition to the symposium, the partnership includes publication of the online journal "Advances in Business Research," which was published by the UAFS College of Business from 2010-2017.
